Born in Maryland, briefly raised in Germany and Russia, educated in Tennessee, with partial roots in Texas, and adopted by California. I’m a husband, a father, a storyteller, a marketer and a lover of all things food, music, real estate and home renovations. I’ve worked at some amazing agencies like Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, DDB, Y&R, Mekanism, and GSD&M. I’ve run massive campaigns for big brands like Levi’s, Xfinity, Microsoft, Pepsi and AT&T, and smaller campaigns for the likes of Google, Nordstrom, Adobe, iShares, startups and more.
I took a break from advertising in 2011 to cofound a startup called Prescreen. We prescreened movies. I began my career as an in house copywriter for Virgin, Capitol and Lost Highway Records. I’ve tour managed bands. And I’ve had a record label side hustle since 2006.
Marketing has changed so much as technology continues to take a larger role in our lives. There’s a greater need for storytelling, emotional resonance, and a clear perspective that draws the customer in to create a connection with a brand. That’s the kind of work I enjoy making, and I like to think that I’m pretty good at it too.
